A Mozilla Network50 spotlight on how I started working open and why it matters.

In 2017 I was awarded the NSERC Gilles Brassard Doctoral Prize for Interdisciplinary Research. As part of this incredible honour, I appeared in the UofT News and got to shake the hands of Canada’s Prime Minister and Governor General.

Mozilla Science Lab and the Pathogens project were featured in an article by Sébastien Blin in the French open source association Zeste de Savoir. You can read it here!

Mozilla Science Lab’s Toronto Open Science Code Sprint (March 7-8, 2015) was great fun and a huge success. The weekend was packed with collaboration between projects, mutual encouragement and assistance, and a great supportive and productive atmosphere.

I participated as project lead for the Pathogens and Disease Immunity project. By the end of the weekend we had completed most of our goals and made good progress on others, culminating in a demo visualization of bacteria-phage interactions captured in the CRISPR locus.
